Presenter: Mr. Yuriy Aydarov
The talk is about the blockchain technologies and their applications for digital markets.
Blockchain technology, invented in 1990 and implemented in 2008 by Satoshi Nakamoto, is still the most widely used cryptocurrency in online transactions, emails, smart cards, and more generally electronic and mobile commerce over the Internet, with more than $10B capitalization for Bitcoin.
Blockchain is a distributed database that is used to maintain a continuously growing list of records, called blocks.
Each block contains a timestamp and a link to a previous block.
A blockchain is typically managed by a peer-to-peer network collectively adhering to a protocol for validating new blocks.
By design, blockchains are inherently resistant to modification of the data.
Mr. Yuriy Aydarov will cover examples of blockchain in theoretical and practical aspects.
