The Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan (Russian Federation) and the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) is organising the Russia-OIC Campus in partnership with the Academy of Youth Diplomacy, Academy of Creative Youth and Tatarstan Republican Youth Public Foundation "SELET" on 12-16 December 2022 in Kazan, Tatarstan (RF). 

AIM

The Campus aims to create an international cooperation platform for bringing together proactive young people willing to contribute towards enhancing cooperation among young people, both in OIC countries and around the globe as well.

OBJECTIVES 

Campus targets to achieve the following objectives:

1. Establishing a multilateral platform for young people to exchange views, experiences, and skills through constructive ways of interaction, such as round table discussions, panels, and joint projects.
2. Creating common projects in Public Diplomacy to enhance cooperation between OIC Member States, Observer-States, and Muslim communities from the Balkans.
3. Studying the best practices in the Sustainable Development Goals and decide how to involve stakeholders.
4. Discussing key trends in Islamic Finance with experts working in the field.
5. Highlighting areas of Creative Industries that require more public sector support for further development.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Everyone who meets the following criteria is welcome to apply for the Russia-OIC Campus:

• Youth aged 18-35 from OIC Member States, Observer-States, and Muslim communities in non-OIC Countries and Balkan
• Those applying to the Public Diplomacy educational track are supposed to have relevant experience in project management with the most recent works attached.
• Those applying to Sustainable Development, Creative Industries, and Islamic Finance educational tracks are supposed to have relevant expertise in youth initiatives within the spheres and evidence of their active works attached.
• Motivational letter that explains your passion for taking part in the Russia-OIC Campus.
• Ability to communicate in English. 
• Recommendation letter from a youth organization that confirms one’s contribution to the development of youth initiatives in the areas of Sustainable Development, Creative Industries, Islamic Finance, and Public Diplomacy would be an advantage during the selection process.

THE FORMAT AND METHODOLOGY 

The Campus will be held in 3 stages: 

​Stage 1 - “Call for Applications and Application Process”: Between 25 October-12 November 2022

​Stage 2 - “Selection and Qualifying stage”: Between 12 - 14 November 2022.
​According to the application results 100 participants will be accepted for the Campus. Competitive selection of participants for the Campus is carried out by an expert jury committee on a completed application and the indicated achievements.

​Stage 3 - “Participation in the Campus”: Between 12-16 December 2022.
​The Campus is designed for 5 days (12-16) December 2022. Following the opening ceremony, Campus participants’ work would be aligned according to which educational track the participant has chosen. Sustainable Development, Creative Industries, and Islamic Finance tracks would primarily focus on educational lectures. The educational track “Public Diplomacy” would imply the work of participants on joint projects where they would develop their own ways of solving up-to-date issues. The Russia-OIC Campus also includes attendance of the “OIC Youth Leaders” awarding ceremony, cultural program, and interactive workshops.

COSTS

The Host Country covers accommodation and local expenses. The Organizing Committee also considers the option of partly or fully covering the flight tickets costs for participants who require financial support.

CERTIFICATE 

Full attended participants will be awarded a certificate issued by the Kazan OIC Youth Capital 2022 Organising Committee.
